Redcastle Estate is a traditional, family run business with the core activities being arable farming, forestry, development, renewables and tourism.
Our Community

House To Let
As well as our 4 holiday lets, we also have a diversified range of houses and cottages to rent on a long term basis at affordable rents.
The houses are finished to a high and compliant standard and meet all energy efficiency criteria.
All houses are currently fully occupied however if you would like to be added to the waiting list please get in touch.
Forestry
Forestry on Redcastle Estate is made up of a mix of commercial and amenity woodlands.
We promote biodiversity through our continual cover policy and the environmental objectives set out in our Long Term Forestry Plan.
Wild campers must be cautious and we politely request that camping stoves and fires are not used, especially during periods when fire risk within our native woodland is high.
Traditional Highland Sporting takes place on the estate primarily through Roe deer control. This ties in with our habitat management objectives.
Access
We are pleased to welcome visitors who come to enjoy our woodland walks and admire the historic ruins of Redcastle and we kindly ask that you take all litter home with you and leave no trace.
Please remember that Redcastle is a working farm. Agricultural machinery operates regularly on estate roads and around the farm, so care should be taken at all times. We kindly ask that visitors keep to designated footpaths to protect both the landscape and farming operations.
The Estate supports responsible public access in accordance with the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 Part 1 and asks all visitors to comply with the Scottish Outdoor Access Code
While visitors are welcome to admire the castle ruin from the outside, entry is strictly prohibited due to the age and unsafe condition of the structure. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us care for the Estate for future generations.
Wildlife & Livestock
Redcastle is fortunate to encompass a rich and diverse range of habitats, supporting an abundance of native Flora and Fauna. Each year we welcome the return of migrating Ospreys from Africa, which can often be seen fishing in the bay at Milton of Redcastle between April and September.
The Estate is also home to red squirrels, pine martens, otters, beavers and roe deer, along with mainly native bird species, including Waders along the Beauly Firth.
In addtion to our wildlife, we keep a small herd of Belted Galloways, Jacob Sheep and Oxford Sandy & Black pigs, as well as peacocks and guinea fowl.
We kindly ask all visitors to treat wildlife and livestock with care and respect. Please note that it is a criminal offence to harass protected wildlife under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and to allow dogs to worry or attack farm animals under the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953, as amended.
From October to February, the Estate hosts a local syndicate pheasant shoot. During these months, dogs must be kept on leads to avoid disturbance to wildlife and pheasant pens.
